courteous & effective! The spa
itself, like the town of
Hanalei, is quaint and charming,
& the massage I had there capped
off an amazing week of
restoration & relaxation that I
very much needed. Take advantage
of this place if you ever get
the privelege of visiting Kauai!

I recently finished a 7-day Panchakarma (PK) retreat at Hanalei Day Spa. Darci was simply amazing. For those not familiar with PK, it is a rather intense program of natural cleansing and balancing as prescribed in the Ayurvedic tradition of healing. Darci's knowledge of Ayurveda and her genuine care during this truly transformative process completely made this experience for me. Between the fantastic therapists, beautiful scenery, and Darci herself, I couldn't recommend her and her spa with more enthusiasm. Just got back from Kauai. Spent a morning getting a beachside Lomi Lomi massage from Shoshana. She was AMAZING. I've gotten (really) hundreds of massages and her bodywork was by far the best. I've had messages at the Hanalei Day Spa on a number of occasions while visiting Haena and Hanalei over the past 3 years, and I can't recommend this experience highly enough!
Darci and her wonderful aloha-spirited staff consistently provide the nurturing touch of true healers, and the setting (especially the outdoor A-frame structures back near the beach) are simply second to none. The sounds and smells of the sea and of the jungle, and, of course, the expert healing energy through massage have made me feel like I am floating OVER the table by the time they are done with me. And that does not happen often in my experience.
In fact, on one particular occasion, I must say that I have had the BEST massage I have ever experienced in my life here. And I do not say that lightly. Those of you who take massages with any regularity know that something like this is the result of a combination of factors all coming together at the same time... and that is exactly my point: This place has the potential for that unique, "other-worldly" type of healing experience. That is a beautiful thing!
Topped off with a nice refreshment and/or delicious meal at the Med after your massage (right outside the door!), you will have a completely indulgent experience to remember, I promise you.
